Silver Into Gold

Silver into Gold is a 1987 American short documentary film produced by Lynn Mueller. The film looks at American athletes Gail Roper and Sister Marion Irvine, and tells how they overcame personal obstacles, as well as social pressures against female athletes, to become world-class competitors. It was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Documentary Short.
