Paul Kane is an award-winning, bestselling British author of horror, dark fantasy, and science fiction. His acclaimed works include the Arrowhead trilogy — a post-apocalyptic reimagining of Robin Hood — plus dozens of novels, novellas, and collections. His short story The Torturer was adapted into the award-winning film The Torturer, directed by Joe Manco, and he also wrote the story that became Sacrifice, the 2020 feature starring horror icon Barbara Crampton. Beyond fiction, Kane has written for SFX, Rue Morgue, Fangoria, and The Dark Side, and co-edited landmark anthologies such as Hellbound Hearts (tales inspired by Clive Barker’s Hellraiser mythos) and The Mammoth Book of Body Horror. His story Dead Time was also adapted for NBC/Lionsgate’s Fear Itself, directed by Darren Lynn Bousman (Saw II–IV) and scripted by Steve Niles (30 Days of Night).
